Underneath It All

This shoot has this soft and beautiful quality to it. It is completely bare of any set or scene, it truly just strips the models of everything but themselves. I think this is amazing. The photographs are evocative and enchanting, especially the photographs of Erin Wasson and Coco Rocha. It is clear how comfortable Erin is in her own skin.

Singing For Her Fairytale

I bought this giant XXL men's flannel this weekend when I was thrifting at "Valley Vintage." It is super comfy and soft and its long enough to wear as a dress with either opaque tights or leggings. (I think it would look great with leather skinnies!) I also bought a slew of other things for fall that will be making an appearance soon :)

Aint Got No Future or A Family Tree

Just spent the day in the darkroom. Someone splashed fixer on my dress...hopefully it wont show up :( Other than that everythings dandy.

I really love my new cardigan I got from the men's section- it has elbow patches! What more can you ask for?

Yes. No. Maybe. So.

Just fell in love. What can I say about these Dr Martens? They are a statement to say the least. Pair these with any neutral ensemble and your outfit will be complete.

I am currently in search of the perfect ankle boots, so these are now added to the list. I am also loving the Lahdidah boots by Nine West, and the buckled ankle boots A Olsen was just spotted wearing.

I Love Your Bracelet

Today I actually felt like accessorizing, so for once my outfit looks pulled together. I paired my thrifted plaid shirt with some home-made cutoffs and coral gladiators; added on to that was my Elliot Lucca quilted bag, Betsey Johnson picture bracelet, silver bangles, snake ring and my silver coin belt.

The Betsey Johnson bracelet is certainly a statement piece. I can't even count on my fingers the number of people who admired and complimented it.

Hope you all like :)

!

Doo Ri's spring 09 collection was by far one of my favorites. It was polished, sexy, comfortable and effortless. The colors and fabrics she chose were so chic and exciting, and the outfits were tied together with amazing neutral grey lace up heels and sleek straight hair.

Doo Ri is defintely one of watch!

80s Revival: Proenza Schouler Runway Spring 09

The 09 runway show was obviously inspired by the fateful time known as the 80s, however this time around the design team behind Proenza Schouler took it in a different direction. (ie, there were no leggings or neon in sight)

The show instead was filled with bright leather gloves, constructed shoulders, relaxed loose-fitting suits, long chain purses, metallic accents and perfectly composed side-parted waves. My favorite piece would have to be the tiny purses with long chains, tres chic! Who knew the 80's had it in them?

Couldn't Love You More You Got a Beautiful Taste

Today I walked into a desk.

My legs are even more beat up looking than they already were. Ugh. At least I was wearing something comfy...that didn't entail sweatpants and a grungy tee.

POPS of color

Lately I have been noticing how grey my wardrobe really is and it has made me realize what one great pop of color will do for any outfit. Becki Newton's purple dress paired with hot blue pumps looks perfectly balanced. If she had gone the "standard" route of pairing a metallic shoe with the bright purple dress it would have been nice, but not quite as exciting. Emma Stone's dress has a lot going on, but the sleek and simple hair tones it down so that the addition of a deep blue heel looks effortless. Finally, Alexis Bledel's all black attire for the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants premiere is extremely chic, however the addition of a bright pink lip adds a little something special; not to mention her gorgeous blue eyes!

If you want to try this look out I suggest a shoe, scarf, or nail polish! I've just begun to realize how much fun nail color is! ( If your a fan of The Hills, check out Lauren's nail polish in the next episode. She is constantly changing the color of her nails from black, to bright purple, to apple red.)

You Love the People That Love You

I just moved back to school so that accounts for the lack of posts and the change of scenery. Now I am back and ready for fall to kick into gear, however since it is still 90 degrees out I am wearing summer styles like this ^^^ everyday. Here I have added my new minnetonka ankle booties which I plan to customize just as soon as I find studs (anyone know where to look? I haven't found any at Michaels or other art supply stores)

In the bottom picture you can also see another one of my spectacular finds from my mother's old trunk. The silver belt is part of the Train Cases and Indian Treasures category. I found it a year ago but just started wearing it; its real silver, and it is woven with a row of different patterned coins on top. ( I will try and post a close-up later)

For everyone that is back to school today, enjoy your classes!

P.S- For any t.v. lovers out there, I watched the new 90210 last night and I'm not really sure what I think of it yet; it's a little awkward. I feel like I would prefer the original because I love old 90s shows...I may have to go buy the first season on dvd :)
