The 09 runway show was obviously inspired by the fateful time known as the 80s, however this time around the design team behind Proenza Schouler took it in a different direction. (ie, there were no leggings or neon in sight)The show instead was filled with bright leather gloves, constructed shoulders, relaxed loose-fitting suits, long chain purses, metallic accents and perfectly composed side-parted waves. My favorite piece would have to be the tiny purses with long chains, tres chic! Who knew the 80's had it in them?
