colorida

I was just introduced to the work of Robert Polidori and I have to say that I was immediatly enchanted by his photographs. The way he harnesses light and color is simply incredible. The color is always vibrant, however it is never super saturated or suffocating; I value the same characterisitics in my own color prints.

This particular series of photos in from a project he did in Havana, Cuba in 1997 during a two week shoot. As an outsider to the city and even country it is beyond impressive that Polidori was able to capture Havana's personality so immaculately.

I love the elegant decay. Sad and beautiful.
