all photographs of my mother by Henry & Elizabeth Lacy

I love, no, I adore, looking through old family albums. Its like finding a crown jewel when I come across an old photograph of my mother from the 70's. Those giant eyeglasses. The permed hair. The cropped tops and bell bottoms. The bohemian dresses. I just love it all.

Oh, and finding the hilarious photographs of my bearded grandfather and mustacheoed uncles is pure joy. Intense mustaches really need to make a comeback.

Wow -- a walk down memory lane. The photo of Bumpa and me by the orchid was Christmas day in Penang. The orchid was our tree. The photo on the balcony with Grandma was the day Bumpa got his honorary doctorate from Whittier.
